San Francisco Events - Chinese New Year Parade

From the 28-foot long Golden Dragon to the drum corps and flag twirlers, the Chinese New Year Parade is a thrilling way to experience authentic San Francisco culture. Taking place the evening of Saturday, February 20, this illuminated parade is one of the world’s largest. It features more than 100 entries and floats, along with performance groups and local community members. The Chinese New Year Parade starts at 5:15 pm at the corner of Market Street and 2nd Street, and then winds its way through Chinatown and ends at Jackson Street and Kearney Street. It usually takes about three hours altogether.
