San Francisco Symphony for Its Opening Night Gala
Since its inception, the San Francisco Symphony has serenaded guests with its much-acclaimed musical performances. Classical aficionados from near and far have flocked to the city to witness its breathtaking renditions of some of the genre's greatest. As a new season is set to begin, this highly celebrated musical organization will kick off with a black tie affair.

Beginning at 5:00pm, Tuesday, September 3rd, patrons will arrive in true celebrity fashion, as the symphony rolls out the red carpet (literally!) with a pre-concert sparkling wine hour. Guests will gather in the stunning Davies Symphony Hall for a performance by Broadway superstar Audra McDonald. Conductor Michael Tilson Thomas and the San Francisco Symphony will perform selections from the Classic American Songbook, alluding tribute to the one-and-only Jazz Age.

The opening night gala will serenade guests as they sip on cocktails and dance the night away in the tented pavilion. Enjoy an open bar and small plates from some of the area's finest restaurants as Audra, Michael, and SFS serenade patrons with Gershwin's An American in Paris and Antheil's Jazz Symphony. Guests can purchase one of four dinner packages, including concert tickets, sparkling wine reception, and the after-party,.

The concert will begin promptly at 8:00pm followed by the after-party at 10. Call (415) 503-5500 to reserve your tickets for this momentous occasion celebrating San Francisco's love of music and reserve your room at the Inn at Union Square. Come, celebrate, and let some of the smoothest Jazz sensations take you away.
