San Francisco Bay to Breakers 2013
Celebrate San Francisco with the 2013 Bay to Breakers, one of the largest and oldest races across the world. Since 1912, this 12k foot race has attracted runners of all types donning anything and everything, from silly costumes to wigs and much more.

Its namesake, Bay to Breakers, pays homage to the long-standing course thousands of runners take from the northeast side of the city to the west end. The Embarcadero, where the race begins, is considered the “bay” area, continuing until the runners reach the “breakers” of Ocean Beach.

Beginning bright and early Sunday, May 19th, world-class and amateur athletes will make their way to the start line, gearing up for the 7 a.m. starting pistol. Participants select their Start Line via a corral system, which are served on a first-come, first-served basis. Each corral has its own estimated finish time and length, the shortest of which is under 59 minutes.

Sport photo, the official photographer, will take souvenir photos to commemorate the celebratory occasion. Don’t forget to wear your Sunday best, as the event awards individuals and groups with the most creative costumes. Tickets are $58 for adults and $53 for children, but discounted rates are available for groups larger than 10.
