Explore culture, history, art and science at these state-of-the-art facilities. Our Union Square hotel is nestled near the spectacular de Young Museum. Artistic even in its architecture, this museum boasts diverse exhibits and special events in a gorgeous, copper-clad building. Spend an afternoon strolling through one of the newer exhibits, "Botticelli to Braque: Masterpieces from the National Galleries of Scotland". Plucked from the European collection, you'll have an opportunity to see stunning portraits, landscapes and abstracts from some of the masters.

Also part of the Fine Arts Museums of San Francisco, Legion of Honor is currently housing High Style: The Brooklyn Museum Costume Collection. At the Contemporary Jewish Museum, explore ethnic diversity through displays intended for a modern 21st century audience. Be on the look out for lectures, gallery talks and other calendar events when you come!

You can venture beyond San Francisco into other areas to enjoy more free museums. Perfect for a family vacation or a couples' retreat, you can explore some of the area's most popular attractions. Make the kids' school assignments jump out of the textbooks at the interactive Chabot Space & Science Center. Get connected to the possibilities of our high-tech world at the Tech Museum of Innovation and Computer History Museum.
