The San Francisco Ballet: Giselle

The acclaimed San Francisco Ballet opens their exciting season with a performance of Helgi Tomasson's spectacular "Giselle." One of the most romantic classical ballets, "Giselle" is this beautiful and heartbreaking tale of a peasant girl with a gentle heart and a passion for dancing. The magnificent production takes audiences on an emotional journey of music and dance, from celebrations in a Rhineland village to a forest with the ethereal the spirits of young maidens who spend eternity dancing in the dark night until the light of day.

The San Francisco Ballet will perform "Giselle" at the beautiful War Memorial Opera House, January 29 - February 10, 2015. You can experience this enchanting ballet on evenings and Sunday matinees in the historic beaux arts building, located near City Hall. Since 1923, the War Memorial Opera House has embodied a spirit of innovation by presenting some of the most famous ballets and performances, including many world premieres.
